Beekeeping Supervisor

The Beekeeping Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the farm’s beekeeping operations, ensuring optimal honey production, colony health, and compliance with UAE agricultural standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a UAE-based beekeeping and honey production environment, a proven track record, and expertise in breeding queen bees.

Key Responsibilities:

Hive Management:

• Supervise the care and maintenance of bee colonies, ensuring colony health and productivity.
• Monitor and manage pest, disease, and environmental risks affecting hives.
• Implement best practices in hive inspections, feeding, and seasonal maintenance.

Honey Production & Quality Control:

• Oversee the harvesting, processing, and storage of honey.
• Ensure compliance with UAE food safety and quality standards.
• Maintain records for traceability and quality assurance audits.

Queen Bee Breeding:

• Manage the breeding of queen bees to maintain and expand healthy colonies.
• Select and introduce new genetic lines to improve hive productivity and resilience.

Team Supervision & Training:

• Lead, mentor, and train beekeeping staff on operational and safety protocols.
• Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and adherence to standards.

Operational Planning & Reporting:

• Develop and implement seasonal work plans for colony maintenance and honey production.
• Maintain accurate records of hive performance, honey yield, and inventory.
• Report operational updates to farm management and propose improvements where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a UAE-based beekeeping and honey production company.
• Proven record of successful hive management and honey production.
• Expertise in queen bee breeding and colony management.
• Knowledge of UAE agricultural regulations and safety standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed operational and production records.

Preferred:

• Certification or training in apiculture or related field.
• Experience with modern beekeeping technologies and honey extraction equipment.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
