Location: School setting. Albuquerque, NM 87105 / Zia Pueblo, NM 87053. This position will be shared between two schools.

Pay Rate: $38 per hour
Schedule:

Monday Friday
Core Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Student-facing hours: Typically 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
Based on a 180-day academic calendar (Aug May)
Occasional after-school events & limited summer support as needed

Job Description: We are seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to support students in a K-12 school setting. This role focuses on mental health services, social-emotional learning (SEL), and behavioral interventions to help students succeed academically and emotionally.

Requirements:

Possess a master's degree (or higher) and at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: content in mental health counseling, school counseling, social and emotional development, and/or social work.
3+ years of counseling experience (school-based or behavioral health)
Active New Mexico license/certification (school counseling, social work, psychology, or related field)
Experience with individual and group counseling techniques
Strong communication, assessment, and crisis response skills
