The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) Finance Section is recruiting a skilled and collaborative BH Fund Manager (Business and Finance Officer IV) to support the Behavioral Health and Recovery Division (BHRD). This role oversees BH fund administration, ensures fiscal compliance, and provides strategic financial guidance to advance behavioral health programs. The BH Fund Manager will join the BHRD Fiscal team and report to the BHRD Finance Manager.
The BH Fund is composed of federal, state, and local revenues totaling more than $829 million for the 26-27 biennium. These funds support core behavioral health services including mental health and substance use disorder outpatient services, youth and family prevention programs, utilization management and care coordination, hospital and mental health residential treatment, and diversion and re-entry programs.
The BH Fund Manager will ensure the financial integrity, management, and reporting for the BH Fund. This includes monitoring and reporting on the use of BH funds to facilitate timely, and efficient use of funds supporting BH initiatives and administration. This includes both routine and ad hoc reporting on revenue collections, expenditures per budget, and contract allocations. The fund manager will collaborate with the fiscal team partners, program management, senior management, and other County agencies on the allocation of funds based upon changes to funding levels or spending patterns. The BH Fund Manager is a key contributor to the budget development process, bringing current knowledge and operational experience to inform budget decisions at the fund level.

WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS: This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is not eligible for overtime. Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. This position is represented by Protec17.
