Job Description

The Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility is a minimum custody facility which houses up to 1060 adult males. MPCF provides education, treatment and apprenticeship programs designed to prepare Incarcerated Individuals for return to the community.

JOB DUTIES:
Provide mental health services for Incarcerated Individuals residing at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility.
Follow Department of Corrections (DOC) established policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within the workforce at Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility (MPCF).
Work as a member of the Treatment and Medical Teams and is a consultant to Treatment Services Directors, Shift Captains and Correctional Counselors on problem cases.

Make segregation rounds with locked Incarcerated Individuals.
Conduct Wellness program in clinics with Incarcerated Individuals.
Participate in Tele-psychiatry reviews as a liaison between the Psychiatrist and Incarcerated Individual.
Participate in Incarcerated Individual Utilization Review process.
Monitors individualized mental health care plans and conducts crisis intervention for MPCF Incarcerated Individuals.
Hours are flexible between 7am and 6pm to meet the mental health needs of the Incarcerated Individuals.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Master’s degree in psychology, mental health counseling, applied behavior analysis, clinical social work, behavioral sciences, mental health, or a closely-related field.

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor (LCADAC)
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Licensed Behavioral Analyst
  • Provisional Licensed Psychologist
