As a Behavioral Health Coordinator for our Nebraska-based services, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our behavioral health programs are efficient, responsive, and fully aligned with trauma-informed, recovery-focused practices. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll support grant and administrative functions, supervise program staff, manage office operations, and help lead meetings and day-to-day problem solving that keeps our services moving forward.
This position is ideal for a flexible, detail-oriented professional who can shift between managing operations behind the scenes and stepping into leadership moments with clarity and compassion. You will work alongside passionate program leaders and staff who are committed to strengthening individuals and families through advocacy, education, and integrated behavioral health services.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Unique opportunity to streamline service delivery for an outpatient clinic of clinicians and psychiatric practitioners providing clinical support in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) setting while also offering training, mentorship, leadership, expertise, and guidance.
Compensation: between $49,200 and $62,243 per year (salary is determined by total years of relevant experience).
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors in Social Work/Public Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in behavioral health, human services, or nonprofit administration
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Ability to travel between locations
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate Day-to-Day Program Operations: Serve as the go-to leader for daily program coordination, problem-solving, and staff support across Nebraska behavioral health services. Respond to real-time needs and maintain operational consistency to include obtaining data from the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and offering support around billing requirements for services rendered.
- Support Jail & Probation Contract Implementation: Manage administrative and operational components of behavioral health contracts with correctional facilities and probation departments. Ensure services are trauma-informed, responsive, and compliant with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with Psychiatric Services Team: Partner closely with psychiatric providers and nurses to monitor service quality, scheduling, documentation, and client care coordination. Ensure smooth communication and role clarity among psychiatric support staff.
- Supervise Frontline Staff: Walk alongside Clinical Supervisors to provide supportive, trauma-informed supervision to frontline staff. Conduct regular supervision meetings, facilitate professional development, and promote a strength-based culture.
- Facilitate Internal Meetings: Lead and support team meetings, cross-program huddles, and advisory discussions. Ensure communication is clear, inclusive, and aligns with agency values and strategic goals.
- Utilize CDS for Client Reporting: Oversee accurate and timely data entry into the Nebraska Central Data System (CDS). Ensure staff are trained in CDS processes and maintain compliance with state reporting requirements. Use data trends to inform service delivery and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure Alignment with CCBHC Model: Collaborate with leadership to embed whole-person, recovery-oriented, and culturally responsive care practices across all Nebraska services. Ensure practices align with CCBHC and state standards.
- Enhance Office & Administrative Support: Help manage local office infrastructure and administrative systems. Support the Office Manager in coordinating purchasing, scheduling, and identifying space needs as needed for Nebraska teams. Engage in collaborative supervision and support with clinic office staff.
- Foster a Culture of Engagement and Access: Support efforts to reduce barriers to care and improve service experiences for clients from historically underserved and marginalized communities.
- Promote Staff Wellness and Collaboration: Model and support trauma-informed leadership practices, reflective supervision, and team-building strategies to foster resilience and staff retention.
- Support Grant and Contract Compliance: Assist in tracking and reporting grant deliverables, adhering to contractual obligations, and supporting audits or external evaluations in collaboration with grants and compliance teams. Engage in community outreach to expand services across the community.
- Contribute to Program Growth and Development: Identify operational improvements and contribute ideas to expand service effectiveness, client access, and innovation in program delivery.
