Position Overview
TBI Solutions is an interdisciplinary outpatient neurorehabilitation program specializing in the treatment of adults with traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, stroke, and other neurological conditions. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Clinician to join our clinical team.
This position is ideal for clinicians who are comfortable working with complex adult populations experiencing cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and adjustment-related challenges following neurological injury. Clinicians work collaboratively within a structured interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting alongside speech therapists, occupational therapists, music therapists, yoga therapists, vocational staff, and rehabilitation professionals.
This is a contract (1099) position with flexible scheduling options. The position is onsite in Southfield, Michigan and working hours fall between Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy to adult clients in an outpatient neurorehabilitation setting
- Address emotional adjustment, behavioral regulation, coping skills, trauma, mood disorders, interpersonal functioning, and cognitive-related challenges
- Utilize evidence-based and skills-based interventions such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, behavioral strategies, psychoeducation, and supportive psychotherapy
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team regarding treatment planning, care coordination, and client progress
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in occasional team meetings and care conferences as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related mental health field
- Active Michigan licensure required (LP, LLP, LPC, LMSW, or equivalent)
- Full licensure preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience providing individual psychotherapy to adult clients
- Experience working with behavioral interventions and/or complex clinical presentations
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, stroke, or neurological populations
- Neurorehabilitation, medical rehabilitation, hospital, or interdisciplinary treatment settings
- Substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Behavioral dysregulation, impulsivity, reduced insight, executive functioning deficits, or cognitive impairments
- Structured or evidence-based treatment approaches including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, behavioral planning, and trauma-informed care
Schedule
- Flexible schedule available
- Approximately 10–25 client hours per week to start, with opportunity to build caseload
- Schedule must fall within program operating hours: Monday–Friday; 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No evening or weekend hours
Compensation
- $45–$60 per client hour depending on licensure and experience
- Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with strong neurorehabilitation or TBI experience

Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
