Position Summary
To address all benefit issues as brought up by Pharos Employee Benefit, Inc. (PEB) clients and their employees, including resolving enrollment and termination issues, acting as liaison with insurance carriers, and employee communication. Maintaining and updating our internal client management system. Benefit Advocates regularly practice discretionary decision making daily.
Essential Function
- Works directly with employees of clients to answer their questions and resolve their issues.
- Answer questions regarding policy coverage information (ex: Rx, covered procedures, limitations, etc.)
- Acts as a liaison with insurance carriers to resolve claims issues and help with the appeals process.
- Build and renew plans in the online enrollment system.
- Create and review communication materials that are presented to clients
- Handles enrollments and terminations with carriers when escalated.
- Meet with the employer key contacts (with Benefit Consultant as needed).
- Attends employee enrollment meetings (with the Benefit Consultant as needed).
- Attends training opportunities to increase industry knowledge.
- Communicate thoroughly and clearly with all team members concerning client renewals and projects.
Knowledge/Experience Required
- Employee Benefit insurance experience required; at least 2 years of work experience (claims resolution, benefits administration, health insurance customer service, human resources, etc.).
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred
- Minnesota life and health license

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
