Position Summary:
Supports Physician’s Organization Benefits & HRIS team in administration of employee benefit program daily operational activities. Assists PO Benefits & HRIS Team in the maintenance of the Human Resources master file information on employee records, using the automated HRMS systems covering personal, position, pay, benefits, status, and activity data. Administers daily service of HRIS customers seeking assistance with HR applications, data questions, and related problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Benefits:
    • Supports PO Benefits & HRIS team in administration of benefit plans in compliance with plan documents and contracts.
    • Performs PO Benefits day-to-day operational activities including coordination and communication with external benefit vendors. Prepares and processes all internal monthly departmental invoices. Pays carriers and prepares all relevant state and federal reports.
    • Processes documents with accuracy and maintains records necessary for implementing, changing, and/or terminating coverage.
    • Maintains accurate and current information on plan participants, services, and costs. Automates processing of activities to increase efficiency as needed.
    • Audits, periodically, all aspects of the program to ensure conformity with federal/state regulations and control over costs.
    • Administers the annual enrollment process including planning, preparation, and communications in conjunction with PO Benefits & HRIS Team needs.
    • Works with PO Benefits & HRIS Team in matters related to employee benefits orientation, inquiries, and problem resolution.
  • HRIS:
    • Administers employee transactions submitted by departments, via the automated HRMS system. Implements change actions for employees and enters changes into the HR information system.
    • Supports staff in the entry of new-hire/rehire employee data into the HRMS system. Ensures the integrity of employee data from a position management, compensation, and benefits perspective. Creates and executes queries as needed.
    • Ensures high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information when responding to user inquiries. Responds to frequent email, phone inquiries, and requests from supervisors/managers regarding employee information and employee change processing.
    • Reviews and clarifies the internal processes of the automated HRMS system for PO Management staff. Provides advice as to the appropriate employee transactions to use in order to achieve desired goal while maintaining data integrity and honoring Human Resources policies.
    • Serves as liaison with internal & external partners to communicate detailed functional information about enhancements to the automated HRMS systems. Tests enhancements programmed as needed.
    • Works with PO Benefits & HRIS Team to support Foundation needs for HRIS system attributes. Engages in special projects and the integration of workflow activities. Team in set up and preparation of test cases of new applications.
    • Assists PO HR with system benefit questions and processes. Runs and sends periodic audits and benefit/HR files to vendors.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, finance, or a closely related field required.
Experience:
  • 3 years’ experience with strong knowledge of plan design, automation, administration, and compliance for HRIS and health and welfare programs required.
  • 3 years of ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
