Ulliman Schutte is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our motivated Human Resources team in supporting the company’s operations and growth. The highly interactive, team-based nature of this position
requires presence in our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters office.


Benefits Specialist Daily Life


  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits as well as with company policies.
  • Guide employees through benefit enrollment at the time of hire, for life events, and during open enrollment periods.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing clear and helpful information.
  • Manage COBRA administration and other benefit compliance activities.
  • Perform audits to ensure benefit enrollment data is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with benefit communications, both in English and Spanish if applicable.
  • Champion company wellness initiatives for employees.
  • Collaborate with benefit providers and other third-party administrators.
  • Work closely with HR and Payroll team to ensure accurate employee deductions and records.

Qualifications


  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain benefits in a way that is easy for employees to understand.
  • Excellent customer service mindset—patient, helpful, and responsive.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and organization.
  • Commitment to maintaining employee trust and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable working with employees from diverse backgrounds and roles, including job sites.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in HR, benefits, or a related role.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or minimum of 5 years experience working with Benefits Administration for large private organizations.
