BESS Engineer - Power & Utilities

We are seeking a BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) Engineer – Technical Advisory & Design Support within the Technical Centre for Power & Utilities [TCPU], to support energy storage and renewable energy projects across the Middle East, Caspian Sea region, and Africa. The role contributes to technical advisory, independent engineering [IE], and owner’s engineer [OE] services. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, renewables oriented, & Grid Related requirements and extensive Reporting Skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support technical assessments of BESS projects
• Review battery, PCS, EMS, and BOS documentation
• Assist in energy storage modeling and performance analysis
• Contribute to IE and LTA assignments
• Support grid integration assessments
• Identify technical risks and optimization opportunities
• Prepare technical reports and deliverables
• Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders
• Participate in site visits and commissioning activities
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for Power & Utility projects including Solar PV Plants, Wind Farms, BESS, Power Plants, Transmission & Distribution.
• Analyze RFQs/RFPs and define scope, deliverables, and methodology.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical, or power engineering.
• 5 – 8 Years of Renewables Experience with Minimum Three [03] Years of BESS Experience.
• Strong understanding of power systems and grid integration

Requirements & merits

• Owner Engineer earlier experience.
• Utility Companies Direct Experience.
• Physical Full-Time Experience in Arabian Peninsula Countries mainly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or United Arab Emirates.
• Proposal Management Certificates such as APMP, RMP, etc.
• PV Plants, Wind Farms, Power Plants, Substations, Pump-Stations Hands-On Experience.
• Inspection Management Practice Experience.
• Experience in DMS Software.
• Arabic Language Proficiency.
• Experience with International Developers, GCC Utilities, etc
