Job Purpose:
ibex on behalf of its Global client seeking a versatile Analytics & BI Specialist to join European Compliance Analytics team. This role provides crucial analytical support for EU Compliance team, working on key projects to support recurring & ad hoc regulatory reporting, annual product oversight and governance, and conduct analysis to assess product performance, identify areas for improvement, and enhance customer outcomes, including more advanced and AI-enabled analytical work.
You will be an analytics ‘all-rounder’, supporting both back-end data transformation and front-end analysis and visualization. A key part of your role will be assisting our team with delivering AI-driven analytics solutions into production. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, collaborative, and passionate about using data to solve complex business problems.
Job Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Collaboration:
work closely with business stakeholders and lead analysts to understand project requirements and help translate business needs into technical solutions

Project Support:
assist in the end-to-end delivery of analytics projects, from requirements gathering and data exploration to building, testing, and deploying solutions

Data Modelling:
contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data models using dbt and Microsoft Fabric semantic models and be confident working with large, complex and imperfect datasets

BI & Visualization:
develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI to provide actionable insights for the Compliance team

Data Analytics:
write complex and efficient SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets to answer specific business questions

Insight Generation:
perform deep-dive analyses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, presenting findings clearly to the team

Data Governance:
help champion data quality and consistency, ensuring that data is accurate, well-documented, and trusted by the business and support in the triaging of data governance tickets for the Data Governance Forum
Job Requirements:
Essential:

Proven experience in data analytics, business intelligence or related role
-
Bachelor’s degree
required
in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or any quantitative background

4-5 years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related role
-
Advanced SQL skills and proven working experience in data extraction, transformation and complex querying
-
Strong experience with a modern BI visualization tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
-
Strong Python skills with proven experience in automation, scripting and advanced data analysis, including supporting machine learning and AI-based applications

Demonstrable experience in data modelling

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you must be comfortable handling ‘client-facing’ or stakeholder conversations to understand requirements and present findings

A strong analytical mindset with a high degree of business acumen and a proactive, problem-solving attitude

Ability to manage multiple tasks and contribute to several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
Desirable:

Specific experience with Power BI and writing DAX measures

Experience with dbt for data transformation

Familiarity with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
