• Looker is the BI platform.
• LookML is the modeling language used inside Looker to define how data tables, joins, measures, and dimensions work.

Key points:

• If someone is actively working on Looker at a development or admin level, they will know LookML, because you can’t properly create models, explores, or dashboards without it.
• However, some people might use Looker just as a dashboard consumer—dragging and dropping fields—but they don’t write LookML. They are end-users, not developers or BI engineers. we dont want enduser we want only developer
