Job Summary
The
Bid Manager
is a critical, central role responsible for
orchestrating the end-to-end bid process
for major, high-value opportunities—from initial tender identification through to final submission and handover. You will be the
project manager for our proposals
, ensuring we submit compelling, compliant, and commercially sound bids that maximize our win probability. This role requires a unique blend of project management rigor, commercial acumen, technical understanding, and exceptional writing/editing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid Process Leadership & Management

Lead the entire bid lifecycle
for assigned opportunities (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, ITTs), typically with contract values exceeding

Develop and execute a
win strategy and bid plan
for each major opportunity, including timelines, resource allocation, and compliance matrices.

Chair bid kick-off, strategy, and review meetings
(e.g., Black Hat, Red Team reviews) with cross-functional teams (Sales, Pre-Sales, Legal, Finance, Delivery, Partners).

Manage the bid schedule
rigorously, driving all contributors to meet critical milestones and the final submission deadline.
Proposal Development & Quality Assurance

Author, edit, and synthesize content
from multiple contributors into a single, coherent, persuasive, and professionally polished proposal document.

Ensure
100% compliance
with all tender requirements, terms, and conditions.

Develop compelling
value propositions, executive summaries, and differentiators
that align with the client's strategic objectives.

Collaborate with Pre-Sales and Solutions Architects to translate technical designs into compelling commercial narratives.

Oversee the final production of the proposal—formatting, graphics, packaging, and secure delivery (hardcopy and electronic).
Commercial & Governance

Work with the Commercial/Finance team to ensure the
pricing model is accurate, compliant, and competitive
.

Maintain the
bid library
(boilerplate content, case studies, credentials) and ensure lessons learned are captured post-submission.

Ensure all bids follow internal governance and approval processes before submission.

Manage relationships with
subcontractors and partners
during the bid process, ensuring their inputs are timely and compliant.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Experience:
Minimum
5-7 years
of proven experience in a
Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, or similar role within the IT/Technology services sector
(Systems Integrator, IT Consultancy, Major Vendor).
GCC experience is highly preferred.

Track Record:
Demonstrated success in managing and winning
complex, high-value IT services bids
for enterprise or government clients.

Knowledge:
Solid understanding of
IT solutions
(infrastructure, cloud, security) and the
IT services sales cycle
. Familiarity with
public sector procurement processes
in Kuwait/GCC is a strong advantage.

Skills:

Exceptional project management and organizational skills
under tight deadlines.

Superior writing, editing, and presentation skills
(English is essential;
Arabic proficiency is a major advantage
for local tenders).

Meticulous attention to detail
and compliance.

Strong interpersonal skills to influence and coordinate stakeholders without direct authority.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and proposal management software.
Preferred Qualifications

Formal project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or bid management (APMP) certification.

Technical background or pre-sales experience.

Experience with Kuwaiti government tendering platforms (e.g., Kuwait Tender Board) and processes.

Experience managing bids for outsourcing or managed services contracts.
