- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is almost universally required, typically in Business, Marketing, Communications, or English.
- Experience:
- Junior: 0–2 years in sales support or documentation.
- Specialist: 3–5 years of proven experience in proposal writing or tender management.
- Senior/Manager: 5–10+ years managing complex, high-value bids.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (especially advanced Word and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is mandatory. Familiarity with proposal automation tools (e.g., Deltek, SharePoint) is often required.
- Language: Native-level proficiency in written English is essential. In specific regions like the UAE, bilingual skills (e.g., Arabic and English) may be a strict requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- RFP/RFQ Analysis: Deconstructing complex solicitation documents to extract all compliance criteria and deliverables.
- Content Development: Leading "storyboarding" sessions and working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical data into persuasive narratives.
- Process Management: Managing the full bid lifecycle, including coordinating "red team" reviews, managing bid calendars, and ensuring on-time submission.
