Position: Bike Patrol Security Officer

Location: City of Los Angeles

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour base + $2.00/hour Bike Patrol Differential

Total Hourly Rate: $24.00/hour when assigned to bike patrol

Shifts Available: Monday-Friday

• 1PM - 9PM

Position Overview

We are seeking professional, physically capable Bike Patrol Security Officers to support a high-profile client in Los Angeles. This position involves active perimeter patrol of a city block, proactive observation, detailed reporting, and professional interaction with the public and client staff.

This is a high-visibility and physically demanding post requiring extended periods of bicycle patrol, situational awareness, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous bicycle patrols around a designated city block to maintain a visible security presence
• Monitor, document, and report loitering, transient activity, and security concerns that may impact client operations or staff safety
• Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations
• Prepare clear, accurate, and complete written reports using full sentences and professional language
• Maintain positive, respectful, and professional interactions with the public and client personnel
• Serve as a deterrent through presence, posture, and professional conduct
• Coordinate with supervisors and follow established post orders and procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to ride a bicycle for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to remain physically active, alert, and mobile in an urban environment
• Ability to stand, walk, and cycle for prolonged durations in varying weather conditions

Qualifications

• Current BSIS Guard Card (required)
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Strong written communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Customer-service-oriented mindset suitable for a high-profile client environment
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Note 1: All candidates must be approved by the client prior to hire. Note 2: Some weekend coverage may be needed as needed based on client special events.

Compensation & Benefits

• $22.00/hour base pay
• $2.00/hour bike patrol differential while assigned to bike patrol
