Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Assist in general dentistry procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractions with precision and care.
- Conduct oral surgery procedures, including dental extractions.
- Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient patient flow and comfort.
- Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care in both English and Spanish.
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety.
Requirements
- Valid dental license in NJ with experience practicing general dentistry.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated experience with dental office management Open dental.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques.
- Hands-on experience performing dental procedures such as root canal therapy, dental fabrications, and endodontics.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and deliver compassionate service.
