Job Description

We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Scribe (Spanish/English) to support a fast-paced medical practice. This role is primarily focused on real-time clinical documentation, assisting the provider by accurately typing patient encounters into the EMR.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, fast at typing, and interested in gaining hands-on clinical experience.

Schedule

• Part-time with advance monthly scheduling
• Guaranteed 2 days per week
• Opportunity for 3–4 days per week depending on clinic volume

Key Responsibilities

• Document patient visits in real-time during provider encounters
• Accurately capture history, exam findings, and treatment plans
• Assist with Spanish-English translation for patients when needed
• Support provider workflow to improve efficiency during visits
• Provide light clinical or administrative assistance when needed

Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
• Strong typing skills (ability to document quickly and accurately)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
• Willing to primarily focus on documentation/typing with some support tasks

Travel Requirement (Important)

• This role requires travel between multiple clinic locations in NYC
• Candidates must be comfortable commuting between locations
• Reliable transportation is required (subway, car, etc.)

Preferred (Not Required)

• Prior medical scribe or healthcare experience
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Interest in healthcare (pre-med, pre-PA, nursing, etc.)

• Bilingual and comfortable communicating with patients
• Flexible with schedule and location
• Able to anticipate provider needs and stay organized
