Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and bilingual Full-Time Preschool Teacher Floater (ECT Qualified) to join our vibrant educational team.
In this role, you will provide essential support across various classrooms, ensuring a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners. Your expertise in early childhood education will help foster a love for learning while promoting the development of essential skills in children.
About our school: Monarch Montessori of Denver is an ECE program on the same campus as a DPS charter school serving Kindergarten through 5th grade in Far Northeast Denver. Our school provides a high-quality Montessori learning environment for students and supportive work atmosphere. On the same campus is a Montessori early childhood program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Monarch has a large outdoor learning environment, greenhouses, peace path and chickens!
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of preschool students.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured learning environment.
- Facilitate literacy education through interactive reading sessions and storytelling activities.
- Collaborate with educators to assess children's progress and adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in early childhood education.
- This position includes a $3,000 closing stipend for working 9 am - 6pm Monday through Friday, or $1,000 closing stipend for working 8:30-5:30 Monay through Friday as recognition for your commitment to our closing shift schedule.
Skills
- Bilingual/Multilingual preferred not required
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school educational practices is a plus.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a supportive atmosphere for all students.
- Commitment to promoting literacy education through engaging activities that spark children's interest in reading and learning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.91 - $27.40 per hour
