Bilingual Paralegal (English/Spanish)

Overview

Cole Law Group, PC is currently seeking to add a Paralegal to our team. In that role, empathy for our clients is extremely important, as is the ability to multitask, manage several cases, and communicate with clients. We serve a diverse population and interact with clients throughout the United States and the rest of the world. Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to attorneys across various case types
• Translate legal documents and communications between Spanish-speaking clients and our attorneys
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court
• Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and others regarding case updates, signatures, consultations, and general inquiries
• Maintain and update contact lists and case files using case management software
• Draft affidavits, declarations, and other supporting documents including responses to discovery requests and subpoenas
• Monitor and maintain deadlines and calendars for multiple attorneys to ensure timely filings and appearances
• Review and revise legal documents as needed for accuracy and completeness
• Organize and compile case materials and exhibits in preparation for court proceedings
• Coordinate with judicial offices throughout the Nashville area and represent the firm professionally
• Accompany attorneys to court hearings, ICE check-ins, and other legal appointments as required

Required Skills and Abilities

• Fluency in Spanish
• Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize and handle a fast-paced environment
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
• Effective team collaboration skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• Enrollment into a Paralegal program (preferred)
• 1 year of experience in a legal environment (preferred)

Starting Salary: $50,000.00 per year
