Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer – Billing & Estimation is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing quantities, and managing billing for road construction projects. This role ensures projects are financially planned, monitored, and executed within budget, while adhering to technical and contractual standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimation:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for road construction projects including earthwork, subgrade, pavement, drainage, and ancillary structures.
- Analyze design drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQ) for accurate quantity takeoffs.
- Conduct rate analysis for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare preliminary, detailed, and revised estimates as required.
- Include contingencies, escalation costs, and allowances in estimates.
2. Billing & Payment Management:
- Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) bills and final bills based on work executed.
- Verify quantities executed on-site against estimates and contract specifications.
- Ensure deductions (taxes, retention money) and additions (extra items) are correctly applied.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and finance departments for timely payments.
3. Project Coordination:
- Work closely with design, planning, and site execution teams.
- Track project costs vs. budget and report discrepancies.
- Assist in contract negotiations and prepare cost reports for management review.
4. Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain records of estimates, bills, payment receipts, and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with government and company standards for road construction projects.
- Keep updated with material rates, labor costs, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in estimation and billing for road/infra projects (highway/urban roads preferred).
- Strong knowledge of quantity calculation, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software.
- Good understanding of road construction materials, methods, and specifications.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
