Position Overview:

The Billing Specialist ensures the seamless execution of service billing processes, contributing to financial accuracy, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical understanding of services, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent customer service skills to maintain accurate billing and resolve any related issues.

What you’ll do as a Billing Specialist:

• Oversee the creation and distribution of invoices for services based on customer usage, subscription plans, and contracts
• Track and process changes to customer accounts, such as upgrades, downgrades, or cancellations, and ensure billing reflects these adjustments
• Generate detailed reports on consumption and compare them against billing statements to ensure consistency
• Investigate and resolve any billing issues, discrepancies, or disputes raised by customers.
• Coordinate with key internal stakeholders within Zones regarding automated flow of subscriptions, orders, billing, and pricing
• Work closely with the finance and operations teams to identify, troubleshoot, and rectify any errors in the billing process
• Provide support for customers with billing inquiries and explain charges related to services
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and effectively
• Coordinate with key external stakeholders from our manufacturer partners to ensure operational and technical readiness in the Zones platform
• Implement, develop, and maintain operational processes to drive program success
• Maintain proper documentation of billing records, invoices, adjustments, and customer communications.

What you will bring to the team:

Education/Required Experience:

• Minimum of bachelor's degree is a must

Required Skills:

• Partner invoicing experience (subscription order processing, SaaS application order processing)
• Finance, accounting, Dynamics AX and CRM are a plus
• Strong Communication skills
• Able to communicate professionally and clearly through all communication forums (i.e. Skype for business, email, and phone).
• Manage escalations in a professional manner
• Weekly, monthly and Ad-hoc reconciliation reporting
• Recurring task management
• Provide detailed and relevant feedback to leadership
• Ongoing maintenance of documented processes
