Billing staff

Job Summary:

The Billing Staff is responsible for accurate billing, cash handling, and providing excellent customer service at the bakery retail counter while ensuring smooth day-to-day sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate bills accurately using POS / billing software
• Handle cash, UPI, card, and other digital payments responsibly
• Ensure correct pricing and discounts are applied
• Pack bakery items carefully and hygienically
• Assist customers with product details and offers
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the billing counter
• Handle customer queries and complaints politely
• Maintain daily cash balance and handover to supervisor
• Prepare daily sales reports and closing statements
• Coordinate with kitchen and store staff for stock availability
• Follow FIFO and basic food safety practices
• Ensure compliance with company policies and discipline

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in billing or cashier role (bakery / retail preferred)
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing software
• Good numerical and cash-handling skills
• Pleasant communication and customer-handling skills
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in bakery, café, or food retail outlet
