BIM Architect

Reports to: BIM Coordinator

Job Description Summary

The BIM Modeler will provide drafting and modeling support to project teams. This position requires proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience working on CAD and BIM Modeling.

In this entry-level role, the BIM Modeler will be exposed to all aspects of a BIM project (BIM Modeling, Model Administration, Documentation, Scheduling, Library Creation etc.) and is expected to quickly gain the necessary working knowledge of project guidelines, processes, and techniques to BIM projects profitably, meeting the time, resources and budget objectives of the project.

General Responsibilities

• Develop all BIM models or incomplete models due to corruption, or loss of data or geometry from 2D to LOD 500.
• Produce models up to defined BIM standards and BEP requirements
• Develop all-new object libraries components and families based on the agreed LOD matrix Estimated Required manpower
• Participate in all internal progress meetings
• Ensure submission of produced models on time
• Has experience in both Architectural & Structural modeling
• Has experience in some or all the following Arch systems: (Architecture Panels, Ablution & Stool Blocks, Finish Wall Stone, Floor Finish, Precast Architecture Concrete, Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete, Signage, Metal Works, Blockworks, Doors, Joinery Works, Access & Raised Flooring, Furniture, Fitting & Equipment, Landscape, façade roofing)
• Has experience in some or all of the following Structural systems: (civil & Structural works, stairs, elevators, External Canopy, Platforms steel structures).
• Experience in BS-EN-ISO-19650 BIM standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
• minimum of 2 yrs experience on related experience in BIM modeling
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 (preferred)
• Experience in UAE or GCC projects (preferred)
• Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) Certification.
• Understanding of Construction Documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills
