BIM Coordinator

A BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator with over 12 years of experience in Qatar typically holds a senior position, overseeing the integration and management of BIM processes across various projects. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of BIM methodologies, advanced proficiency in BIM software, and a proven track record in coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.
• Supervise and mentor BIM teams, fostering collaboration among architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve cohesive project outcomes.
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures for BIM models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
• Utilize advanced BIM tools to identify and resolve conflicts within models, facilitating efficient design and construction processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding BIM-related matters, providing expert guidance and addressing concerns.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the BIM capabilities of team members and stakeholders.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed BIM documentation and reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective communication.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 12 years with 8 years of proven experience in BIM coordination, with substantial experience in large-scale projects within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Civil 3D. Experience with additional tools like Synchro, Solibri, or Infraworks is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications in BIM or related areas are preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
