JOB DESCRIPTION: BIM MANAGER
Experience Required: 15-20 Years in BIM Management & Coordination
POSITION SUMMARY
The BIM Manager will serve as the central BIM coordination hub within our Project Management Consultancy team, responsible for orchestrating BIM processes across multiple stakeholders including the client's appointed BIM agency, design consultants, and general contractor. The role focuses on ensuring seamless drawing delivery processes, maintaining BIM protocol compliance, and facilitating effective multi-party BIM coordination rather than direct BIM modeling or implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. MULTI-STAKEHOLDER BIM COORDINATION
Coordinate BIM activities between Client's BIM Agency, Design Consultants, and General Contractor
Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and ensure alignment across all parties
Manage BIM deliverable schedules and ensure timely submission from all stakeholders
Resolve inter-party BIM conflicts and communication gaps
Monitor compliance with client's BIM requirements across all parties
2. DRAWING DELIVERY PROCESS MANAGEMENT
Monitor drawing delivery workflows from design through construction documentation
Ensure proper drawing review and approval processes across all disciplines
Coordinate drawing submission schedules with design milestones and construction requirements
Track drawing status and versions across all stakeholders and disciplines
Implement quality control checkpoints for drawing deliverables before final submission
3. BIM PROTOCOL COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE
Monitor adherence to Client's BIM Execution Plan across all parties
Ensure compliance with BIM standards and protocols established by client's BIM agency
Coordinate model exchanges and data sharing between different parties
Maintain BIM governance framework and escalate non-compliance issues
Review and approve BIM deliverables for protocol adherence before client submission
4. DESIGN COORDINATION FACILITATION
Coordinate multi-disciplinary design reviews through BIM processes
Facilitate clash detection and resolution meetings between design consultants and contractors
Monitor design coordination progress and report status to Design Manager
Ensure integration between different blocks such as hotel, office, and BIOME facility design coordination
Track and resolve design conflicts identified through BIM coordination processes
5. STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION & REPORTING
Serve as primary BIM liaison between PMC team and external BIM stakeholders
Provide regular BIM coordination reports to Design Manager and project leadership
Facilitate BIM training and onboarding for project team members
Coordinate BIM workshops and coordination sessions with all stakeholders
Maintain comprehensive BIM coordination documentation and meeting minutes
6. QUALITY ASSURANCE & PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
Monitor BIM deliverable quality from all parties before client submission
Identify process improvement opportunities in multi-party BIM coordination
Ensure drawing accuracy and completeness through systematic review processes
Coordinate issue resolution between different BIM stakeholders
Maintain BIM coordination audit trails and documentation
7. QUALITY ASSURANCE & PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
Setting up protocols for Contractor to upgrade the model from LOD 300 to LOD 350 and review/audit the upgraded model with respect to information attributes for Shop Drawings creation.
Ensure compliance with BIM standards and protocols as per ISO 19650.
Auditing and taking handover of the Project Information Model post-GFC stage from all design consultants.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
BIM Professional Certifications preferred (Autodesk Certified Professional, Bentley Professional, or equivalent)
15-20 years overall experience in with minimum 5+ years in BIM management/ coordination roles
Experience in large-scale commercial/mixed-use projects
Multi-stakeholder project coordination experience essential
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
BIM Coordination Software - MANDATORY
Navisworks Manage/Freedom - Model review, clash detection, coordination
BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud - Multi-party collaboration and coordination
Autodesk Revit - Understanding of modeling processes for effective coordination
AutoCAD - Drawing review and coordination processes
Common Data Environment platforms - Multi-party data management
Advanced Coordination Tools - PREFERRED
Synchro 4D - Construction sequencing coordination
ProjectWise/SharePoint - Document and model coordination platforms
Experience - 15 to 20 years
