he BIM Mechanical Modeler will be responsible for developing and managing detailed 3D models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utilities. The role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and expertise in BIM tools to deliver coordinated, clash-free, and accurate design models in compliance with project and authority standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, utilities) using Revit or similar BIM platforms.
- Prepare coordinated drawings, sections, and layouts for mechanical systems.
- Integrate mechanical BIM models with architectural, structural, and other disciplines to ensure clash-free designs.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve design conflicts in coordination with other disciplines.
- Support mechanical engineers in design development, technical documentation, and preparation of BOQs.
- Follow project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure compliance with BIM standards, naming conventions, and QA/QC procedures.
- Update models as per design revisions and authority comments.
- Assist in producing as-built BIM models and digital handover deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other modelers for smooth project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mechanical BIM modeling (consultant or contractor background).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP) and BIM coordination tools (Navisworks).
- Knowledge of mechanical systems design (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting).
- Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA) and local authority requirements.
- Experience in large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
