Role Summary:
The BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating detailed 3D models using BIM platforms (Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks) in compliance with GCC project standards, authority requirements, and multidisciplinary coordination workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update accurate BIM models (Architecture/Structure/MEP) as per project LOD requirements.
- Prepare coordinated drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and support coordination meetings with consultants/contractors.
- Ensure models comply with GCC authority standards (Dubai Municipality, DCD, Ashghal, ADM, etc.).
- Extract BOQs, schedules, and quantities from BIM models.
- Maintain BIM documentation, templates, and model libraries.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers, BIM Coordinators, and Project Managers.
- Implement BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and follow QA/QC standards.
- Support site teams with coordinated drawings and technical clarifications.
- Update models based on RFI responses, design changes, and consultant comments.
Skills & Technical Expertise
- Revit (Architecture/Structure/MEP)
- AutoCAD
- Navisworks Manage (Clash detection)
- BIM 360 / ACC
- Dynamo (added advantage)
- Understanding of GCC codes, standards, and authorities
- Strong coordination, detailing, and documentation skills
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Drafting
- 3–8 years of BIM modeling experience
- Experience in large-scale projects such as high-rise, hospitals, malls, infrastructure, or industrial projects
