Apex Geospatial / Apex Surveys (apexsurveys.com / apexsurveys.ie) is a leading international survey and mapping firm. We utilise advanced technologies such as terrestrial laser scanning, LiDAR UAV, mobile mapping, and photogrammetry to support projects across buildings, infrastructure, and industrial assets. Our deliverables include highly accurate Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and BIM data outputs tailored to client specifications.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Revit Modeler (Scan-to-BIM) to join our team in Dubai.
This is an office-based position ideal for individuals with strong technical Revit skills and a passion for turning point cloud data into accurate, high-quality BIM deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed Revit models (Architectural, Structural, and MEP) directly from registered point clouds.
- Apply project-specific LOD standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Perform QA/QC reviews on models before client delivery by checking geometry accuracy, family usage, data structure, and export integrity.
- Collaborate with survey and registration teams to ensure accurate alignment and coordinate systems.
- Manage and maintain Revit family libraries suitable for as-built and Scan-to-BIM projects.
- Export and prepare deliverables in RVT, IFC, and other formats as required.
- Document assumptions, deviations, and QA findings throughout the modeling process.
- Support workflow improvement initiatives, including automation and Revit template management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience producing Revit models from point clouds in a Scan-to-BIM or as-built context.
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Recap, and Navisworks Manage.
- Familiarity with point cloud registration and survey principles (control, alignment, tolerances).
- Demonstrated experience in model QA/QC: model audits, checklists, clash detection, and final sign-offs.
- Understanding of LOD/LOIN frameworks, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and model coordination workflows.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or within a collaborative team environment.
