The BIM & Revit Collaborator is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models and Revit-based project documentation. This role ensures that all project models are accurate, up to date, and effectively integrated across multidisciplinary teams, supporting the design, construction, and lifecycle management of building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model Development:
- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Ensure models align with project standards, specifications, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
- Coordination & Collaboration:
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve clashes and maintain a coordinated model.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide updates on model progress.
- Documentation & Detailing:
- Produce high-quality drawings, schedules, and construction documents directly from Revit models.
- Maintain version control and ensure accurate documentation of revisions.
- Standards & Compliance:
- Follow company and industry BIM standards (ISO 19650 or equivalent).
- Implement best practices for model quality, naming conventions, and data exchange.
- Support & Training:
- Assist team members with Revit/BIM-related issues and provide basic training or guidance as needed.
- Support the integration of new BIM technologies and workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in BIM modeling and Revit drafting within the construction or design industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture/MEP/Structure/STEEL).
- Knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM-related tools is an advantage.
- Understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and LOD specifications.
