BIO-MEDICAL ENGINEER

Full Job Description

SS Scientific System is seeking a skilled and innovative Biomedical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and quality assurance of prosthetic devices, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and user comfort. This position involves close collaboration with clinicians, designers, and production teams to translate clinical and user needs into effective prosthetic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of upper- and lower-limb prosthetic devices.
• Conduct technical assessments, measurements, and provide fitting support during the production process.
• Inspect incoming materials and finished prosthetic devices to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Perform mechanical, functional, and stress testing to ensure device durability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and relevant regulatory and ISO guidelines.
• Maintain accurate QA documentation, test records, and reports for traceability.
• Identify the root cause of technical issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Support calibration, testing, and validation processes to confirm all devices meet required specifications.
• Document technical specifications, testing results, and user feedback to support continuous product improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and medical device quality standards.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, QA procedures, and medical device testing protocols (preferred).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
