Work week 37.5 / April - October
This position will be required to work weekends and possible nights and holidays.
The State of New Hampshire, NH Fish and Game Department has a full-time seasonal vacancy for Biological Aide.
Summary:
Assists biologists in surveys and management of various reptiles and amphibians throughout southern NH; collects and compiles data and maintains all the necessary equipment to conduct surveys. April – September
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
Education and experience must be in fisheries or wildlife conservation, commercial fishing, landscaping, carpentry, agriculture, outdoor recreation, or park management, including experience in operating or maintaining equipment.
License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License
Other Requirements: Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards established by the agency

Monitors reptiles and amphibians in New Hampshire.
Collects and maintains data, assists in preparing written reports.
Captures, marks and releases specific species.
Conducts assessment of habitat and collects data.
Maintains equipment associated with the project.
Assists with other projects as assigned.
