<Responsibilities>
- Develop and deliver comprehensive biology curricula that align with educational standards and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate laboratory experiments, dissections, and interactive activities to enhance student understanding of cell biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and other key topics.
- Utilize learning technology tools to create immersive lessons, track student progress, and facilitate differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive environment conducive to learning and participation.
- Prepare students for standardized testing through targeted review sessions and tutoring support.
- Mentor students academically and personally, providing guidance on research projects, science fair participation, and higher education pathways.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies to continuously improve educational outcomes.
<Qualifications>
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven classroom experience teaching biology at the secondary or higher education level.
- Strong knowledge of biological sciences including genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and dissection techniques.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design.
- Familiarity with laboratory experience and research laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Experience working with diverse learners, including those in special education or Montessori settings.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies.
- Knowledge of standardized testing formats and effective tutoring methods for exam preparation.
