Diyar Private Academy – Dibba Boys is seeking an experienced AP Biology Teacher to join our growing secondary team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, inquiry-driven instruction aligned with the New York State Standards American curriculum, NGSS, and College Board AP standards, supporting students in achieving academic excellence and preparing for post-secondary success.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach AP Biology in alignment with College Board course and exam requirements and additional high school science classes.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote scientific reasoning, laboratory skills, and data analysis
• Design and implement effective assessments aligned to AP standards and school expectations
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Support students with exam preparation strategies, laboratory investigations, and extended learning opportunities
• Collaborate with the Science Department and wider secondary team on curriculum planning and vertical alignment
• Contribute positively to the school community through professional collaboration, student activities, and school events

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related science field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
• Experience teaching AP Biology (required); proven AP exam results strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based science instruction and laboratory safety protocols
• Experience teaching in an American or international curriculum setting is an advantage
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
