Job Description: Biology Teacher (Grade 11 & 12)

Position: Biology Teacher
Location: The Intelli School, Viskhapatnam
Department: Senior Secondary (Grades 11 & 12)
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Salary: ₹30,000 per month
Reporting To: Head of Science Department

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Biology for Grades 11 and 12 as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments including quizzes, assignments, and practical evaluations, and provide timely feedback to students.
• Lab Supervision: Manage and guide practical sessions to ensure students grasp scientific concepts through hands-on learning.
• Student Support: Offer additional guidance to students through individual mentoring, remedial classes, and extra sessions when needed.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers in the department to plan and implement innovative teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Biology (M.Sc. in Biology) with a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Biology at the senior secondary level.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of biological concepts and their real-world applications.
• Experience with modern teaching methods, including the use of multimedia tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students in the subject.

Preferred Attributes:

• Previous experience in preparing students for competitive exams (e.g., NEET) is desirable.
• Ability to foster an interactive and dynamic learning environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
