Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Biomass Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and procurement of biomass materials, including rice husk, agricultural residues, and other solid biofuels for our biomass boiler and power generation operations. The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted raw material supply at competitive pricing while maintaining strong supplier relationships and quality standards.

The responsibilities includes following but not limited to these

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers of rice husk and other biomass materials.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements.
• Ensure continuous supply to meet plant fuel consumption requirements.
• Monitor market trends, seasonal availability, and pricing fluctuations.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct supplier audits and quality inspections of biomass materials.
• Maintain procurement records, reports, and cost analysis data.
• Work closely with plant operations and finance teams for demand forecasting and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and sustainability standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in biomass, agro-commodities, or solid fuels.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of biomass properties (moisture, calorific value, ash content).
• Knowledge of logistics and transportation management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred).
