Biomedical Technician

We are looking for a skilled Biomedical Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair medical equipment used across hospital departments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of biomedical equipment.
  • Install, commission, test, calibrate, and validate new medical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in biomedical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
  • Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and calibration reports.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors for warranty claims, repairs, and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Train end-users on the safe and proper operation of medical equipment.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and assist in procurement planning.
  • Respond promptly to emergency equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Equipment Experience

Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as:

  • Patient Monitors
  • Ventilators
  • Defibrillators
  • ECG & EEG Machines
  • Anesthesia Machines
  • Infusion & Syringe Pumps
  • Electrosurgical Units (ESU)
  • Suction Machines
  • Autoclaves & Sterilizers
  • X-Ray & Ultrasound Systems
  • ICU, OT, Laboratory, and Dialysis Equipment

Requirements

  • DAE in Biomedical, Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Technology.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or biomedical service organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics and technical manuals.
  • Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and safety standards.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office and maintenance documentation.

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
