We are looking for a skilled Biomedical Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair medical equipment used across hospital departments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Install, commission, test, calibrate, and validate new medical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in biomedical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
- Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and calibration reports.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors for warranty claims, repairs, and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Train end-users on the safe and proper operation of medical equipment.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and assist in procurement planning.
- Respond promptly to emergency equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Equipment Experience
Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as:
- Patient Monitors
- Ventilators
- Defibrillators
- ECG & EEG Machines
- Anesthesia Machines
- Infusion & Syringe Pumps
- Electrosurgical Units (ESU)
- Suction Machines
- Autoclaves & Sterilizers
- X-Ray & Ultrasound Systems
- ICU, OT, Laboratory, and Dialysis Equipment
Requirements
- DAE in Biomedical, Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Technology.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or biomedical service organizations.
- Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics and technical manuals.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and safety standards.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office and maintenance documentation.
Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
