Stevin Rock is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, skilled and safety driven Blasting Engineer to join our dynamic Drill & Blast team.

About the Role

As a Blasting Engineer, you will be at the forefront of Blast Design in the UAE, designing, planning, and executing safe and efficient blasting operations across all Stevin Rock sites. Your work will directly impact production efficiency, safety standards, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize blast designs using Expertir software tailored to operational business requirements and geological conditions.
• Ensure design implementation and supervision of all on-site charging and blasting operations, ensuring a high level of commitment to safety and blast design specifications.
• Monitor and analyse blast performance, recommending any potential improvements for fragmentation, cost and efficiency of the blasted material for continuous improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with our HSE & MOI regulations and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with all internal teams and regulatory authorities to maintain operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related field.
• Valid UAE Blasting License and Explosives Certification.
• >7 years of experience in blasting operations, preferably in open-pit mining or quarrying.
• Proficiency in blast design software and vibration monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of UAE explosives regulations and safety protocols.
• Must have valid UAE basting license
• Fluent in English with a valid UAE driving license.
