Blood Bank Technician

Job Summary:

The Blood Centre Technician is responsible for performing all technical functions within the blood bank, including blood collection, component preparation, labeling, testing, storage, and issuing of blood and blood products. The technician ensures compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and maintains the highest level of quality assurance and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Onboarding of Partner Blood Banks or Hospitals

  • Assist partner blood banks or hospitals with initial setup and configuration of our blood bank management software.
  • Ensure accurate data migration and readiness before go-live.

2. Software Demonstrations (Online & Offline)

  • Conduct detailed product demonstrations to partner facilities, both virtually and in-person
  • Highlight key features relevant to their operations such as donor management, inventory control, and compliance modules.

3. User Training & Support

  • Train doctors, technicians, and admin staff at partner facilities on how to effectively use the software.
  • Provide on-site or remote hand-holding support during the initial usage period.

4. Travel for Field Engagements

  • Travel to various regions for conducting live demos, onboarding sessions, or follow-ups with partner blood banks and hospitals.
  • Log travel reports and outcomes from each visit.

5. First-Level Technical Liaison

  • Act as the first point of contact for basic troubleshooting during onboarding.
  • Coordinate with the internal technical support team for escalations when needed.

6. Feedback & Product Improvement Input

  • Collect structured feedback from partner users regarding software usability or improvements.
  • Relay feedback to product or development teams to enhance user experience.

7. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain clear records of onboarding progress, demo sessions, user training, and site visits.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for internal tracking.

8. Compliance Awareness Support

  • Help partner blood banks understand and implement software features aligned with NACO, NABH, or state-level regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay updated on relevant compliance changes affecting blood bank operations.

9. Ongoing Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong rapport with partner blood banks and hospitals.
  • Conduct check-ins post-onboarding to ensure continued usage and satisfaction.

Who Can Apply?

  • Diploma or B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent is preferred
  • 0–3 years of experience
  • Ability to handle rejection and maintain motivation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or healthcare is a plus

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of blood banking practices and laboratory procedures.
  • Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,121.27 - ₹34,813.90 per month
