Role: Custom Software Engineer – Blue Yonder Inventory Optimization

Role Overview
The position requires designing, developing, and enhancing custom software components using modern frameworks and agile practices. The focus is on delivering scalable and high-performance solutions tailored to business needs, with specialization in Blue Yonder Inventory Optimization (IO). The role involves leading solution design, configuration, and implementation while driving multi-echelon inventory strategies across global supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead configuration, validation, and deployment of Blue Yonder IO for complex multi-tier supply chains.
  • Define and optimize inventory policies, service levels, safety stock, and planning parameters.
  • Analyze historical demand, variability, and replenishment patterns to determine optimal inventory targets.
  • Run IO simulations and diagnostics, interpret outputs, and recommend policy enhancements.
  • Drive MEIO strategies aligned with demand variability, lead times, and sourcing constraints.
  • Collaborate with BY Demand, ESP, and Fulfillment teams for aligned planning logic and policy adoption.
  • Coordinate with integration/data teams to validate ERP data feeds (SAP, Oracle) and ensure clean inputs.
  • Support UAT, hypercare, training, documentation, and testing activities.
  • Mentor junior team members on IO rule configuration, output interpretation, and tuning.

Required Professional & Technical Experience

  • 7–10 years in supply chain planning, including 2–4 years of hands-on Blue Yonder IO experience.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory planning concepts—safety stock, lead times, service levels, demand variability.
  • Practical experience in IO configuration, diagnostics, and policy tuning.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in SQL, Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with related Blue Yonder modules such as Demand Planning, ESP, or Fulfillment.
  • Understanding of Blue Yonder integration with ERP/WMS systems.

Additional Information

  • Experience with IO diagnostics, inventory health checks, and scenario-based policy assessments.
  • Exposure to Blue Yonder SaaS/cloud implementations or upgrade projects.
  • Supply chain domain experience in CPG, retail, pharma, or discrete manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹302,419.40 - ₹2,300,000.00 per year
