BMS Operator

BMS Operator is responsible to supervise and control the operation of the Building Management System and monitor all plant activities.

The BMS Operator's key role is to monitor the Building Management System for any alarms or abnormalities and proactively coordinate with the respective ground team to mitigate or overcome the risk, with excellent troubleshooting skills. They must have:

• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and their functionality.
• Familiarity in navigating all the Building Management System supplied by various vendors such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schnieder, Sauter, etc.
• Analyze the behavior of the plants with respect to the set point and setting up the various control parameters.
• Awareness of MEP system sequence of operation, standard operating procedures.
• Mindfulness of building fire cause & effect interface with MEP system.
• Perform daily auditing of plant performance by utilizing the facilities built on the building management system (BMS) e.g., data logging, plant review, alarm manager status, etc.
• Analyze reasons of failure of plants and provide specific diagnostic, problem analysis, and specify the necessary remedial actions for Supervisors' approval.
• Use the historical logged data of various plants to review the system and propose improvements in order to enhance the system efficiency and/or reduce the operation cost as well as improve the services provided to customers.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• A keen eye for detail.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a BMS Operator.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP Systems.
• Familiarity with computers and IP Networking Systems.
• Self-motivated with a hands-on and flexible approach and be able to adapt to unpredictable events.
• Pro-active and reliable and will thrive through working in a busy environment and stay calm under pressure, have attention to details.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree / 3 years Diploma Holder in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with experience in BMS application.
• BMS operator role for a tenure of 5 years.
• Hospitality experience for a minimal tenure of 3 years in more than a 3-star rated hotel.
