BMS Technician

Job Summary

The BMS Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and commissioning support of Building Management System (BMS) components in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Install BMS field devices including sensors, actuators, controllers, VAVs, dampers, and control panels
• Perform cable laying, dressing, labelling, and termination for BMS control and power wiring
• Install control panels, junction boxes, and field devices as per shop drawings
• Terminate BMS panels and field devices following wiring diagrams
• Assist in point-to-point testing and loop checking
• Support commissioning engineers during testing and commissioning activities
• Read and understand BMS drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades (HVAC, Electrical, ELV)
• Ensure installation complies with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Report daily work progress and site issues to the supervisor
• Follow HSE rules and maintain safe working practices at site.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in BMS installation works
• Hands-on experience with BMS systems (Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls, etc.)
• Good knowledge of sensors, actuators, control valves, and DDC panels
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit to work on construction sites
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills (Advantage)

• Experience in Gulf projects
• Knowledge of commissioning procedures
• Basic BMS programming knowledge
• Valid UAE / GCC driving license
