BMS Technician

Responsibilities:

Install, program, and commission BMS equipment, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and software.

Perform regular maintenance and inspections of BMS equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify any issues or malfunctions.

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with BMS systems, including wiring, programming, and communication issues, and implement appropriate solutions.

Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and customize BMS programming to meet their needs.

Provide technical support to clients and address any questions or concerns regarding BMS operation and functionality.

Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and modifications performed on BMS systems.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in BMS technology to ensure the highest level of service and expertise.

Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for system optimization and energy efficiency improvements.

Skills

Preferred Candidate:

Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of Building Management Systems.

Technical diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Strong knowledge of BMS equipment, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and software.

Proficient in programming BMS systems using industry-standard protocols.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Proficiency in BMS software programming.

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Familiarity with industry-standard protocols, such as BACnet and Modbus.

Understanding of energy management principles and practices.
