BMS Technician - Facility Maintenance - Qatar University (Permanent)

We are hiring experienced BMS Technicians on behalf of a leading Facilities Management (FM) company in Qatar for a permanent role at Qatar University.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Building Management Systems (BMS) supporting HVAC, fire safety, lifts, and other critical facility systems.

Job Location: Qatar University, Doha – Qatar

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: QAR 1,900 + FTA (provided by the company)
Working Schedule: 6 Days per Week, 9 Hours per Day

As a BMS Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BMS systems to ensure efficient control and monitoring of building services in compliance with safety standards and FM requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BMS systems
• Work on BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Bailey, Landis & GYR, and similar systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and control devices for:
• Air conditioning systems
• Fire safety systems
• Lifts and other facility services
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of BMS systems
• Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation
• Read and interpret BMS schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality procedures, and site standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and site teams
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide technical support

Requirements & QualificationsEducation & Training

• 1.5 to 2 years full-time technical training course from a recognized institute in the candidate’s home country

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of extensive hands-on experience in BMS systems
• Proven experience in repair and maintenance of BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Bailey, Landis & GYR, or equivalent

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of BMS hardware, software, and field devices
• Experience with HVAC controls, instrumentation, and control systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system faults efficiently

Other Requirements

• Ability to work 6 days per week, 9 hours per day
• Physically fit for site-based technical work
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Safety-focused, responsible, and a team player

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates currently available or willing to relocate to Qatar
• Prior experience in universities, hospitals, or large FM projects is an advantage
