About this opportunity:
The Telco Cloud Engineer is part of the Managed Services team responsible for operating and maintaining the Telco Cloud Infrastructure. The role focuses on performing 2nd-level operations, supporting virtualized platforms, and ensuring stable and reliable cloud services for the customer network.
What you will do:
- Support 2nd-level operations for the Telco Cloud infrastructure, ensuring stable performance of virtualized environments.
- Assist in integrating new nodes, services, and cloud-native workloads into production following approved processes and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues across the cloud stack.
- Participate in incident handling and contribute to service restoration activities during outages.
- Work closely with customer support, project teams, and domain experts (IMS, Core, etc.) to follow up on CSRs and operational tasks.
- Review and validate technical documents such as HLDs, LLDs, and test plans under guidance.
- Support migration and onboarding activities for new services into the live network.
- Work with platform components such as OpenStack, SDN, NFVi (compute, storage, network), and virtualization technologies to maintain platform stability.
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or virtualization operations, ideally within telecom or large-scale service provider environments.
- Hands-on experience with CVIM, UCS hardware, Cisco ACI, or similar cloud infrastructure tools.
- Good understanding of virtual switching (OVS, SR-IOV), overlay networking (VXLAN), and SDN concepts.
- Working knowledge of OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Ceph) and container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CUPS architecture (vSPGW-C/U, UPF, SMF/AMF) is a plus.
- Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL/Debian) with practical experience in NFV environments.
- Scripting ability in Python, Bash, YAML, or Ansible for automation and operational improvements.
- Understanding of ETSI NFV architecture and cloud-native principles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and capability to work in cross-functional operational environments.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
