Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dedicated team in delivering exceptional behavioral health services in Charleston SC. In this role, you will develop, implement, and oversee individualized behavioral intervention plans for children and adults with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine behavioral needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Design and implement effective behavioral therapy strategies grounded in applied behavior analysis principles, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously to monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed, ensuring measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including special education professionals, medical staff, and caregivers—to coordinate care plans and facilitate seamless service delivery.
- Provide training and supervision to behavior technicians and support staff, fostering adherence to best practices and maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including treatment notes, progress reports, intake forms, and HIPAA-compliant records in accordance with organizational policies.
- Conduct patient intake sessions, initial assessments, and ongoing evaluations to ensure comprehensive understanding of each client’s unique needs.
- Educate families and caregivers on behavior management techniques, empowering them to support skill development at home.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to behavioral health services, including confidentiality standards outlined by HIPAA.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities, particularly those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
- Proven background in delivering behavioral therapy using evidence-based methods such as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience conducting patient assessments, data collection, and progress tracking within a clinical or educational setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards required for healthcare providers.
- Prior involvement in diagnostic evaluations or intake processes for individuals receiving behavioral health services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information. Pay: $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.5 – 15.0 per week
