Boat Fiberglass Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Fiberglass Technician to join our marine service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiberglass repair, lamination, gelcoat finishing, and structural restoration of boats and yachts. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fiberglass lay-up, lamination, and repair on various boat hulls, decks, and structural components.
• Repair and refinish damaged gelcoat surfaces, matching color and texture precisely.
• Conduct inspections to assess structural integrity and identify areas requiring repair.
• Mix resins, hardeners, and other materials according to specified formulas.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform sanding, polishing, and finishing to achieve high-quality surface results.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and repair instructions.
• Ensure all work meets company and industry safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other technicians, painters, and mechanics as needed to complete projects on time.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in fiberglass boat repair or marine composite work.
• Strong understanding of fiberglass materials, resins, and gelcoat systems.
• Proven ability to perform structural and cosmetic repairs to a professional standard.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and sanding.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with marine safety standards and repair procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in composite or marine repair is an asset.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
