Boiler Burner Application Engineering Leader – EMEAI Region

Koch Engineered Solutions (KES), through its John Zink brand, is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Boiler Burner Application Engineering Leader to drive our technical strategy and market execution across Europe, the Middle East, and India (EMEAI).

This high-impact leadership role will shape how we deliver Boiler Burner and Marine application engineering solutions, advance our technology roadmap, and strengthen our regional position in areas such as decarbonization, fuel conversions, hydrogen adoption, and energy transition.

You will lead cross-regional teams, align technical direction with commercial priorities, and ensure John Zink remains the partner of choice for advanced combustion solutions. What You Will Do

• Lead Boiler Burner Application Engineering across EMEAI and set the regional technical direction.
• Align engineering priorities with strategic projects and high-value commercial opportunities.
• Develop and mentor engineering talent to strengthen technical depth and customer responsiveness.
• Influence FEED-stage specifications with key EPCs and end-user accounts.
• Partner with R&D to guide technology development tied to decarbonization and energy transition needs.
• Drive selective bidding discipline and application excellence across the region.
• Optimize use of global manufacturing capabilities for cost-effective delivery.
• Enhance tools, templates, and design standards to improve efficiency.
• Support revamps, retrofits, and fuel-conversion programs with a strong technology value proposition

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in Boiler Burners or related combustion technology applications.
• Strong understanding of application engineering and customer engagement across multi-regional markets.
• Proven ability to lead and develop application engineering teams across diverse cultures and geographies.
• Skilled in prioritizing opportunities aligned with business goals and technology strengths.
• Ability to translate market and regulatory trends, especially related to decarbonization and energy transition, into actionable technical strategies.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Familiarity with key Boiler Burner and combustion markets across Europe, the Middle East, and India.
• Experience working with EPCs and end-user customers on combustion technology projects.

• Understanding of manufacturing optimization across global facilities, including cost and complexity considerations.
• Experience collaborating with R&D or technology development teams in a fast-paced, technical environment.
