Position Overview
The Bond Service Representative will support surety operations by managing client financial documentation, preparing analysis reports, and executing bond transactions. This role requires a strong accounting and finance background (CPA designation required) and the ability to handle detailed, compliance-driven work with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Complete the Financial Analysis Summary and FAST by reviewing client financial statements.
- ·Enter data into the FAST Excel model to analyze financial trends and client performance.
- Prepare financial summaries for internal review and client files.
2*. Underwriting & Documentation*
- Collect, review, and submit required underwriting documentation (CPA financials, tax returns, work-in-progress schedules, insurance certificates, etc.).
- Maintain the Open Item Control Document (OICD) to track pending client requirements.
3*. Bond Processing & Execution*
- Prepare, review, and issue various types of surety bonds in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Perform necessary calculations such as bond amounts, premiums, and related financial figures.
- Verify accuracy of bond terms, supporting documents, and client information.
- Coordinate with underwriters, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely bond issuance and delivery.
4. Client & Internal Communication
- Act as a point of contact for clients regarding bond requests and documentation requirements.
- Work closely with internal management and accounting teams to ensure files are audit ready.
Qualifications
- CPA required with strong accounting and financial analysis background.
- Ability to interpret and analyze CPA-prepared financial statements, WIP schedules, tax returns, and key ratios.
- Proficiency in performing calculations for bond amounts, premiums, and program exposure.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication, client relationship management, and negotiation abilities.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
