Bonfire Attendant (Part-time Year Round) Watercolor

Job Summary


The role of the Bonfire Attendant is to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for guests by professionally preparing, hosting, and maintain safe bonfire events. This position ensure all setups are completed according to company standards, engages guests in warm and welcoming manner, and upholds all safety protocols to provide a comfortable and secure environment throughout the event.


Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Prepare the materials needed for the bonfire
  • Set up the bonfire according to safety and company standards
  • Prepare chairs and food and beverage tables
  • Load coolers with alcohol, beverages, and food
  • Transport and display beverages and food items
  • Light the needed torches
  • Greet guests and serve each guest with exceptional customer service
  • Answer guest inquiries and assist with any reasonable request or accommodation
  • Provide towels services upon request
  • Provide guests with a memorable experience
  • Ensure the bonfire is prepared and executed within the limitations of safety regulations
  • Perform first aid services or inquire for additional emergency help when needed
  • Properly store equipment after use
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience


  • Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • CPR/ First Aid certified (may obtain after employment)

  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
  • Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
  • Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to retain and follow safety procedures
  • Ability to communicate and socialize with guests
  • Basic knowledge of food & beverage service
  • Basic knowledge of proper fire starting and extinguishing operations


Physical Demands


  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 LBS
  • Must be able to work in the sun/heat for long periods of time
  • Must be able to navigate through sand while carrying heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, throughout the shift


Working Conditions


  • Predominantly outdoors, exposed to direct sunlight and extreme heat
  • Working on uneven surfaces, such as sand
  • Exposure to changing and unexpected weather conditions, such as wind and rain
  • Occasional interaction with large groups of guests
  • Work in close proximity to open flames and smoke
