Bookkeeper

Job Title: Bookkeeper (Lahore, Pakistan)

Job Summary: Love2Laundry, a leading laundry and dry cleaning service provider based in the UK, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain financial transactions in the company's accounting software accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related requirements.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including timely collection and payment of invoices.
  • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, as required.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
  • Stay updated on accounting best practices and changes in financial regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Solid understanding of VAT regulations and experience in VAT return preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
  • Availability to work in Lahore, Pakistan, and maintain regular communication with the UK-based finance team.
  • Experience in the laundry, dry cleaning, or related industry is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs75,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
